Arrive in Sapporo and make your way to your hotel (flights / airport transfers can be added), where you can settle in at your leisure. In the evening, we gather for welcome drinks before heading out to a specially selected local restaurant for a warm, indulgent first dinner together, setting the tone for the exceptional week ahead.

Tuesday 24th November 2026

Your introduction to Sapporo begins with a tour of some must see attractions including Mt Moiwa and Odori Park, before heading to the Sapporo Beer Museum and enjoying a leisurely lunch in their historic Sapporo Beer Garden. The afternoon is left free for you to discover more of the city’s charm at your own pace.

Wednesday 25th November 2026

Today offers an exclusive look into Japan’s world-renowned thoroughbred industry. We begin with a visit to Northern Farm pre-training facility – the best stable in Japan! After lunch at the Northern Horse Park & Museum, we’ll head to Shadai Stallion Farm for a parade of all of Japan’s best stallions!

Thursday 26th November 2026

After checking out, you’ll fly from Sapporo to Tokyo, where a smooth arrival and check-in await. As evening falls, we enjoy a relaxed and sophisticated dinner, offering the perfect introduction to the energy and elegance of Japan’s capital.

The day begins with a guided exploration of the famed Tsukiji Fish Market, followed by the timeless streets and temples of Asakusa. We then move on to the electric rhythm of Shibuya Crossing, one of the world’s most iconic urban scenes, before giving you the rest of the day to uncover Tokyo’s wonders at your leisure.

Sapporo Tour

You will get the chance to explore Sapporo and visit some of the most popular attractions including Mt Moiwa and Odori Park.​

You’ll then head to the popular Sapporo Beer Museum before enjoying lunch in their iconic beer garden. You’ll try a freshly brewed Sapporo beer and a “Genghis Khan”, a local Hokkaido speciality dish of lamb and mutton.

Stud & Stable Tours

You will get a chance to visit some of the farms that make Japanese racing so strong. Starting with a tour of the Northern Farm pre-training facility, quite simply the best stable in Japan!

You will also visit the the Shadai Stallion farm, home to Japan's best stallions and you'll see them parade - a quite wonderful sight! You'll also enjoy lunch and a tour at the Northern Horse Park & Museum.

Tokyo Tour

After a stay in Sapporo you will move onto Tokyo and enjoy a tour of the city with a guide as you get used to the fantastic local trains.

You’ll start with fantastic views over Tokyo from the observation deck, see Mt Fuji if the weather is clear, then visit Meiji Jingu Shrine & Harajuku shopping precinct, the world-famous Shibuya crossing before a visit to the old Yanaka Ginza district for some old-world charm and a local feed of Ramen.

The Japan Cup at Tokyo Racecourse is a highlight of the international racing calendar, centred on the 2,400-meter Japan Cup, a Group 1 turf race that draws the world’s best horses, jockeys, and trainers. Alongside the main event, the card features a series of top-class supporting races, including graded stakes for both domestic and international contenders, showcasing a mix of sprint, middle-distance, and staying talent. The day combines thrilling on-track action with a festive atmosphere, attracting racing fans from across Japan and around the globe to witness elite competition at one of the sport’s most iconic venues.

If required, we can include flights to Japan within our experiences.​

​There are are a couple of direct flight options from selected UK airports to Tokyo. An onward flight to Sapporo is then required, with a return from Sapporo to Tokyo during the trip itinerary (included as standard)

Extended stopovers are possible for those looking to spend a few nights whilst connecting in other locations.

​Flight upgrades are available to Premium Economy, Business & First Class.

​If booking your own flights you need to fly to Tokyo then onwards to Sapporo to arrive on Monday 24th November 2025. Your flight from Sapporo back to Tokyo is included in your experience meaning your return flight is simply Tokyo to the UK no Monday 1st December.
